Four Minute Foreign Policy

International engagement is far too often inhibited by perception gaps between scholars, policymakers, and the public at large. In 2018, the Johns Hopkins SAIS Foreign Policy Institute (FPI) launched the "Four Minute Foreign Policy" video series to help bridge perception gaps through detailed yet accessible discussions of the most pressing issues in international affairs.

The Four Minute Foreign Policy series features interviews with FPI fellows and visiting scholars across disciplines and professional backgrounds. Each video provides a concise yet penetrating view into a single pressing issue area of the scholar's expertise. Through this series, FPI strives to foster deepened connections across perspectives and to help integrate national conversations on the role the United States can and should serve on the global stage.
