Research and Communications Assistant
Jakob is a Master of Arts in International Relations candidate at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), with concentrations in General International Relations and Development, Climate, and Sustainability. His research interests include Transatlantic relations, China’s rise, India's development, urban planning, and climate change policy. Previously, Jakob worked at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw, Poland and for the Office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. He graduated from Syracuse University in 2020 with a B.A. in International Relations and Policy Studies, where he conducted his senior thesis research on the economic and security implications of the 1980 Turkish Coup.
